Planner vs Coordinator…… This is something I am asked about by almost every client during our initial meeting. What is the difference between a coordinator and a planner?
A Wedding Coordinator is fabulous for all you DIY brides out there. Generally a coordinator will come in the month before (see our month of management package here) and put the finishing touches on all of your hard work. Coordinators will usually take control of your ceremony rehearsal and oversee all set up from other vendors, and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of your wedding.
Many hotel venues also have coordinators on site, venue coordinators differ from day of coordinator in the way that they’re job is to look after anything that has to do with the venue, such as timing of the food, floor plan, and any other things that may be included with your venue.
A Wedding Planner is amazing if you are really looking for a stress free experience. Having a seasoned professional guide you throughout the planning process, helping to keep you on budget and taking care of all of the logistics. A planner will take care of setting up site visits, vendor communication and sourcing the best vendors to fit your vision and budget.
As a planner I will spend 12+ months and between 200-300 hours planning your dream day. (check out our full service planning here)
